1967 PONTIAC G.T.O. - "Survivor"
H.O. 4 SPEED 400 C.I. / 360 H.P.
21,193 ORIGINAL MILES !
Featured in High Performance Pontiac Magazine Spetember 2010
This iconic Pontiac Muscle car was built the fourth week of May 1967 at the Framingham, Massachusetts assembly plant and delivered to Pontiac dealer Breitfeller’s Sales, Inc. in Queens, New York, where it was purchased by Mr. Robert Scott of Bergenfield, NJ on July 22, 1967. I became the fifth owner in February 2004 when the car had a total of only 20,377 original miles. It remains in spectacular original condition and is accompanied by full documentation including the Original Title, Bill of Sale, Protect-O-Plate, both owner manuals, complete owner history, and of course Pontiac Historical Services.
This 1967 Pontiac GTO is one of the most original in existence, and was recognized with the Bob Laidlein Award for Most Original at the 2007 Lowe’s Motor Speedway Fall AutoFair. With only 21,215 documented miles on the odometer, it still retains 80 percent of its original Starlight Black finish on very straight original sheet metal. The Red interior is completely original and in outstanding condition, as is the entire drivetrain. The 400 cubic inch, 360-horsepower H.O. V-8 engine has been repainted and detailed but otherwise remains as it left the factory. In addition, it won First Place in the Survivor Class at the 2009 “Pontiacs in Pigeon Forge” event in Tennessee.
Paired up with its modern descendant, a matching 2006 Pontiac GTO boasting 400 horsepower, from its all-aluminum LS2 V-8 coupled to a Tremec T56 6-speed manual transmission. Like its older sibling, it sports the classic Black-on-Red muscle car color scheme; with only 7,500 actual miles, it is as original as you will find. Together, these matching Pontiac GTO’S comprise the most original pair of their kind in existence ! |

1969 ½ PLYMOUTH Road Runner A-12 * M-Code * 440-6BBL
Hi Impact “Vitamin C Orange”, Post Coupe
For late-sixties Mopar fans the “A” designation was a clarion call to the faithful that another special package was coming down the pipeline. In 1969 the A12 marker signified a mid-year 440 engine fitted with triple 2-barrel carburetion, but it was much more than that: the 1969 A12 M-code Road Runner is one of the meanest, leanest, fastest street machines of all time, capable of intimidating with its looks alone and backing it up with relentless acceleration that only the mighty Hemi could surpass.
The Road Runner we offer here is one of a mere 388 A12 M-code cars equipped with the Hemi 4-speed manual transmission and the 390-horsepower 440 6BBL engine that was produced in a limited batch over a three month period in 1969. Topped with three 2-barrel Holleys, it is entirely correctly date coded and has been balanced and blueprinted. Like all the cars produced with this famous code, it features a lift-off Black fiberglass hood, 15-inch Black steel wheels, chrome lug nuts and Red Streak tires; this beautifully sano Bird wears the rare Hi Impact Vitamin C Orange. And while the new-for-1969 Road Runner’s interior may have been considered nothing to write home about at the time, this one is exactly as it was meant to be.
All these features converged in a fire-breathing beast that made such an impact upon its arrival that Motor Trend named it the Car of the Year. In 2007 this very car had a similar effect at the Plymouth Nationals, where it won a very well-deserved First Place.
